The Board Members are:
Dr. Olasupo Olusi (Chairman)
In his nearly 20 years career as a World Bank economist and Development Finance Expert, Dr. Olasupo Olusi has worked across several countries advising national governments on economic growth, fiscal policy and debt management, as well as private and financial sector development.
He has led multi-million dollar development policy and investment lending projects for the World Bank and the IFC in several countries.
Dr Olusi also led the team of experts that delivered the World Bank Group’s first-ever comprehensive assessment of Nigeria’s private sector in 2020. While on external assignment from the World Bank between 2011 and 2015, Dr. Olusi served as the Economic Adviser to the then Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance.
He also managed several highly impactful federal government projects in this capacity.
He holds a Masters Degree in International Money, Finance, and Investment, and a Ph.D in Finance & Economics from Durham University UK in 2005.
Usen Okon Effiong (Member)
Executive Director Corporate Services, Bank of Industry Limited
Mr. Usen Okon EFFIONG is currently the Executive Director of Corporate Services in the Bank of Industry. He oversees Management Services and all BOI Subsidiaries. Mr. Effiong joined the bank from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). He has over Thirty – Two (32) years working experience with the Apex Bank out of which 20 years were spent in various Human Resources functions such as Performance Management, Workforce Planning, Talent Management, Change Management, Continuous Improvement and HR Transformation.
A highly analytical and cross-functional Executive with proficient skills and competence in connecting strategic objectives to operational tactics while ensuring implementation and driving change initiatives. He is very passionate about value creation in the business and also focused on enabling dynamic and customer-focused workforce and environment.
Dr. Waheed A. Olagunju (Member)
Former Executive Director, Bank of Industry Limited
Mr. Waheed A. Olagunju retired from the Bank of Industry in April 2019 after a distinguished career that spanned 28 years.He began his banking career with BOI’s precursor institution the Nigerian Industrial Development Bank (NIDB) in 1990 as a Senior Manager and rose to the position of Executive Director, Business Development (ED, BD) in 2012.
Abdul Ganiyu Muhammed (Member)
Founder & CEO of Willz-Boye
Abdul-Ganiyu Mohammed retired as a General Manager in the Small and Medium Enterprises Directorate of the Bank of Industry in May 2018 after having served in various capacities for 26 years in the Bank and after over three decades as a Development Banker.
His working career spans the civil service, having served briefly (one year) as an Agricultural Engineer under the Niger State Ministry of Agriculture…
Mrs. Olamide Odusanya (Member)
Director, Internal Auditor of NIMASA
Mrs. Olamide Odusanya is the Director, Internal Audit of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and represents the Agency on the Board of LECON Financial Services Limited. An excellent accountant, astute auditor and bureaucrat per excellence, she has three decades of experience in Public Service.
Olamide rose through the ranks as an Accounts Officer culminating her appointment as Director of Financial Services, a position she held before moving on to the Internal Audit Unit where she keeps a calm but unflinching eye over the finances, due process and procedures of the Agency.
Mrs Ebehiriere Ehi-Omoike (Member)
Managing Director/CEO LECON Finance Company Limited
Mrs. Ebehiriere Ehi-Omoike has multifunctional experience in Retail, Commercial and Corporate Banking, Risk management, Operations, Project management, Product development and Legal practice.
She joined the Bank of Industry in 2019 and became the Divisional Head of Large Enterprises 2 where she was responsible for leading, directing and overseeing business development, operations and financial health of the Oil and Gas, Healthcare and Petrochemicals, Agro Processing, Engineering and Technology and the Renewable Energy Business Groups.
